ナナ・ムスクーリというヨーロッパを始め世界中で大変人気の高い女性歌手がいる。ギリシャ領クレタ島生まれ、450枚のアルバムを発売、全世界でのレコード・CDの売り上げ枚数は2億3000枚以上ともいわれる。15カ国の言語（ギリシャ語、フランス語、英語、スペイン語、イタリア語、ドイツ語、ラテン語、ポルトガル語、日本語など）で約1500曲の歌を発表しているそうだ。

クラシックから始まり、ジャズ、ポップス、クラシック、ギリシャ音楽からラテン、各国の民謡をすばらしい歌唱力で歌う。彼女こそ世界中の音楽のプロが認めるオールラウンドの歌手。また、政治家として、EU議会でのギリシャ代表も務めた。現在もユニセフの親善大使でもある。

アメリカやヨーロッパの各国の歌番組に出演し、ほとんどその国の言語で歌う。「ナナ・ムスクーリショー」としてメインゲストとして呼ばれることがほとんどだ。ヨーロッパ系の言葉はほとんどしゃべることができる万能とも言える歌手だ。世界中で数多くの音楽賞をもらい、ゴールド・プラチナディスクを記録している。100年にひとり出るかでないかの歌手だと思う。

日本には1974年に初来日し、NHKテレビでも歌った。「赤とんぼ」「シェルブールの雨傘」「イルエストパッセ（想い出の旅立ち）」などの歌を日本語でレコーディングしている。当時出演した時の映像が何度も再放送されたのを覚えている。

この歌は、歌詞は悲しいのに何ともしっとりしていて、とても聴きやすい。難しそうな歌ではないが、ナナ・ムスクーリの歌のうまさが光るシャンソンだ。彼女の歌のうまさを味あうにはお薦めの１曲。

Famed Greek singer Nana Mouskouri on Dec. 14 handed a check for 10,000 euros ($13,088) to Athens Mayor George Kaminis to be used to help the city’s growing numbers of homeless and destitute.
“As a Greek I feel it is my duty to be present at every attempt of solidarity and assistance towards the Greek people who are poverty-stricken,” she said.
She told Kaminis that, “I do watch your efforts, and I myself with anything that I can offer, I want to send Greeks a message, that no one is alone and no one should be left alone.”
Kaminis said that, “I want to believe that Ms. Mouskouri’s movement will stand as an example and motivate many of our co-citizens in Athens”.
Mouskouri, who lives in Switzerland, is the most successful Greek singer, whose recordings have sold between 200-300 million copies, making her one of the best-selling female artists of all time in a career spanning over five decades. She was also many times described as Europe’s answer to American singer Barbra Streisand.

わたしが、もし『好きな歌手はだれですか？』と聞かれたら、掛け値なしにナナ・ムスクーリ（Nana Mouskouri）を挙げる。

あまり知られていないかの感はあるが、実は凄いものがある。

ナナ・ムスクーリ（1934年）は、世界的に有名な
人のである。
10月13日- ギリシャ歌手

全世界で300万枚以上のレコード、450枚のアルバムを発売し、15カ国の言語（ギリシア語、フランス語、英語、スペイン語、イタリア語、ドイツ語、ラテン語、ポルトガル語、韓国語、日本語など）で約1500曲の歌を発表した。また、世界中で230以上のゴールドおよびプラチナディスクを記録している。世界で最も、レコードの売り上げが多い歌手の一人であり、その売り上げ枚数は、2億3000枚以上ともいわれる。

わたしは先日、【「Alone」歌：Nana Mouskouri　訳詞：キム・ホセ】という日記を書いたのだが、その歌の訳詞はわたしがわたしの想念を込めてアレンジしたものだ。


わたしにはいま、政治的なものにはなんの関心もなくて、ただ、わたしの人生の往路で感じたことを、この復路で思想的に整理しているだけである。その想いは、島や世界（つまり地球）を超えて、すべてを相対化してみようという作業である。しかし、いま、「島」という問題をめぐって、またぞろ“つまらなき亡霊”が闊歩しはじめている。そして、ひとびとはそれに対するなんらの思想的または情緒的「根をもつ」ことなく、流されている。（この件に関しては、後日に思い切って“まとめて”言う）

それで、意識的に歌「Alone」：Nana Mouskouriを　わたしが訳詞したのである。 （全文はわたしの日記を～）

アローン（Alone）

孤独よ

空と海の間の孤独の島

私には手が届かない

無視され、拒絶され、隔絶された世界

海岸は自然で、荒れ果て、だれも訪ねることのない

島よ

それは、きみ

《アローン。孤独。それは愛。》

と。この最後の独白に、わかりやすくひとつ足そう。
《アローン。孤独。あなたの島、それは愛。》と。

これだけで、「島」をめぐる問題について、このわたしの和訳アレンジの善し悪しは別にして、わたしの想いを伝えるのには十分であろう。

だいたい、「島」（アイランド）を、世界を（地球を）、月を、「占有」するというのはとんでもない話しである。「領域」も同じだ。

つまらない亡霊を追い払うのに、実は一曲の歌だけでこと足りる。もし、それでもわからないというなら、シモーヌ・ヴェイユの「思想的フレーズ」を持ってこようか？

さて、わたしには「内なるきみ」が存在する。






それはまた、同じナナ・ムスクーリの歌でいうことができる。

この歌は、カラオケでわたしはよく唄うのだが、とにかく世界各国語で歌われているものだ。

　2004年に引退を宣言。2008年に惜しまれつつ引退したギリシャを代表する女性シンガー、ナナ・ムスクーリ（Nana Mouskouri）が、フェアウェル・ツアー中の2007年にイギリスのロイヤル・アルバート・ホールで行なったコンサートを収録するDVD『Live At The Royal Albert Hall』（輸入盤）が12月3日に発売されます。
　
　1934年にギリシャのクレタ島で生まれた彼女は、ギリシャ語はもちろん、フランス語、英語、スペイン語から日本語まで、さまざまな言語でポップスから民謡まで歌い、ギリシャを代表するシンガーとして世界中で愛されてきました。音楽活動以外にも、国連の親善大使を務め、94年から99年までは欧州議会のギリシャの代表として活躍。2004年に引退を宣言した際には、当時70歳だった彼女の元に公演の申し込みが殺到し、フェアウェル・ツアーは2005年から2008年まで4年にわたって行われました。このDVDでは、「アメイジング・グレイス」「オー・ソレ･ミオ」「シボネイ」「アイル・リメンバー・ユー」（ボブ・ディランのカヴァー）「明日にかける橋」（サイモン＆ガーファンクルのカヴァー）など、キャリア全般からの代表曲、全38曲を披露しています。Blu-rayもあり。
　
　また、これまでに発表してきた音源からデュエット曲ばかりを本人の監修でまとめたアルバム『Rendez-Vous』も同時発売されます。

We'll announce the precise details shortly. It will be your choice whether to download, migrate or just let your content lapse (and get deleted).
• For our existing ecommerce users (both buyers and sellers) in Indonesia and the Philippines, there will be no action required.
• Regarding any existing Multiply Premium subscriptions we will refund any unused balance, and apologize for any inconvenience this will cause. Please contact customer service to request a refund. Note that this is for Multiply Premium, not the ecommerce related Multiply Trust product.

I am aware of how disruptive this news may be, and understand the disappointment that it may cause. Ultimately this was a business decision, critical to our to success moving forward. Instead, we are excited to pursue our own mission to give the 350 million consumers in Indonesia and the Philippines a great way to buy and sell items online. She began singing jazz in nightclubs with a bias towards Ella Fitzgerald repertoire. In 1957, she recorded her first song, Fascination, in both Greek and English for Odeon/EMI Greece. By 1958 while still performing at the Zaki, she met Greek composer Manos Hadjidakis. Hadjidakis was impressed by Nana's voice and offered to write songs for her. Nana, accompanied by George Petsilas and his musicians, sings "with my white handkerchief" (the song of the sirene), music by Manos Hadjidakis and lyrics by Nikos Gatsos. It was recorded in 1967.

Images used in this presentation are from the Greek islands of Kimolos and Milos in the Aegean sea. They are located in the SW tip of the Cyclades, belong to the Aegean volcanic arc and consist mainly of acidic volcanic rocks. They offer beaches and waters of unique colourful beauty. The geological nature of the archipelago is the main reason for its fabulous variety of colours and landscapes.
