1960 is the year of the big success of "Never on Sunday" movie in Cannes Festival. Greek musicians and singers became very popular because of this film.

1960年はカンヌ映画祭で　映画｢日曜はﾀﾞﾒよ｣が大成功を収めた年でした。
この映画で、ギリシャのミュージカルや歌手が世界にひろまりました。

Hadjidakis created a new style of greek music, based on traditional byzantine　music. Words were written by ours poets and that style had a high quality, poetic, full of grace and harmony, very sensitive and optimist.

ハジダキスは伝統的なビザンティン音楽をベースに新しいギリシャ音楽のスタイルを作り上げました。
歌詞は仲間の詩人よって書かれそのスタイルは優雅でハーモニィにみち、繊細で明るく、詩的なとてもよくできたものでした。

That music was full of colours, lyrism and very powerfull. I was so preoud to be the first singer to present that king of evolution. "Greece, land of dreams" documentary was about to be created and I had been ask to sing for.

その音色は、竪琴をかなでるように色彩にあふれ、とても力強いものでした。
私はそのような新しい種類の音楽を初めて歌った歌手であることを大変ほこらしく(preoud?)おもいました。
それまでは｢ギリシャといえば夢の国｣、ドキュメンタリー番組ではいつもそういう風に作り上げられて、歌手もそんなイメージで歌うように言われていました。

The words were by Nikos Gatsos, a great poet and a very good friend. The work of
these two men give a richness to my songs. Manos' music helped me to dream and
make me to go further, when Nikos was showing me the way to truth, love and
freedom of thinking.

作詞はギリシャの偉大な詩人でよき友人でもあるNikos Gatsosです。
この二人のコンビは私の歌をとても豊かな素晴らしいものにしてくれました。
Manosの曲は夢と未来へ向かってすすむことを、Nikosは誠実さや、愛や自由な精神を教えてくれました。

The year after, I went again to the second greek music festival. My two songs
MIMORIO and KIPARISSAKI (by Manos Hadjidakis and Nikos Gatsos) won both the
first price .
次の年、私は再び、第2回ギリシャ音楽祭に参加しました。
マノス　ハジダキスとニコス　ガトソスのMIMORIO と KIPARISSAKを唄い
2曲とも一等賞をとりました。

I went after that to the mediteranean Festival in Barcelona where I sung Kostas Yannidis (by Kostas Yannidis).
For the first time, I won a price abroad."
その後、私はバルセロナの地中海ソングコンテストで　Kostas Yannidisを唄いました。
初めてでしたが、外国で　賞をとりました。

５０'ｓMemories、Part 1

"My career of singer started in 1959. I have studied classical music for 8 years. During this period, I tried a lot of kind of music : Jazz, pop, rock, folk even greek music "Laiki" and Negro spirituals.
私は１９５９年から歌手活動を始めました。私はクラシックを8年間学びました。
その期間、私は、多くの音楽、ジャズ、ポップ、ロック、フォークなどをギリシャの"Laiki"や黒人霊歌と同じように演奏してみました。
I have been chosen in many young singers to participate to the first grec song festival. I sung two songs KAPOU IPARCHI AGAPI MOU andASTERI ASTERAKI, which received the frist and the second price. The music of the first song was by Manos Hadjidakis, who became my favorite composer. I make his music get knowm in tha whole world during the following years.
私は第一回ギリシャソングフェスティバルで、多くの若いシンガーにまじって賞に選ばれました。
私はKAPOU IPARCHI AGAPI MOU とASTERI ASTERAKI,の２曲を歌い、一等と二等を受賞しました。
はじめの曲はManos Hadjidakisのもので、彼は私の一番好きな作曲家になりました。私は彼の曲をその後ずっと世界中に広めました。

Anna Panagjwtare と Nana Mouskouri と Concert for Peace

Anna Panagjwtare　というジャーナリストのERTテレビの番組(ギリシャ語なのでYahooBabelを通して英語で番組のHPをご紹介した) がギリシャであるらしい。

その番組の対談者としてナナムスクーリが登場した。

Oudis Anamartitos TV show
December 29th, 2006 - Nana Mouskouri was invited at the tv show "Oudis anamartitos" of ET1, the public television channel. She talked with journalist and friend Mrs. Panagiotarea. The interview was great and the end magical. Nana sang a capella the famous "Hartino to fengaraki" and expressed her wishes to everybody in Greece. The interview was a tv presentation of her Greek biography. Nana talked about everybody and everything as well as her love to her fans around the globe. She announced that the farewell world tour will end in Athens in 2008.

Oudis Anamartitos TV ショー
206年12月29日、ナナ　ムスクーリは公共放送であるET1テレビのOudis Anamartitos TV ショーに招かれた。
彼女はジャーナリストで友人でもあるPanagiotarea女史と対談した。その対談はすばらしく、魅力的だった。
ナナはアカペラで有名な"Hartino to fengaraki"を唄い、彼女のギリシャの人々への想いを表わした。
そのインタビューでナナのギリシャでの伝記が写された。
ナナは全世界のナナファンへの愛と同じくすべての人、すべての物について語った。
彼女は2008年のアテネ公演を最後にサヨナラコンサートを終えると語った。

Nana Mouskouri - Oudeis Anamartitos IIの後半には 他の出演者から
１９９７年の平和のためのコンサート、Concert for Peace　の映像かと想像される「歓びの歌」、ベートーベンの第九の中のCome and Sing、Song of Joy が収録されています。ただ、次にあげたHERE'S TO YOUとは髪型が違うので勘違いかもしれません。
いずれにしても、この年代でのコンサートかと想像されます。
ギリシャ語に詳しい方のご教示をいただければと思いますがナナについての情報が日本ではあまりないので残念です。
IIではこの歌の後、司会者のAnna Panagjwtareの前でギリシャ語の歌をしみじみと語り口ずさんでみせます♪♪♪

７０年代の若いナナとは違った、人生と経験によるスパイスでアレンジされた唄い方で、しみじみと語りかけてきます。
