「ナナ・ムスクーリの声帯。」 日常
あいかわらず車では関ジャニ∞ばっかエンドレスだが、
中毒もやっと多少は和らいで、家の中では関ジャニ∞以外も聴いている。
パヴァロッティの訃報を知ってからはパヴァロッティ（つっても、うちにあったのは「スーパー・ヒッツ！」１枚きりだが）だったが、この日、ひさしぶりにナナ・ムスクーリが聴きたくなり、「Nana」に入れ替えた。
ナナ・ムスクーリは５枚ほど持ってるが、「Unite」に始まるこの「Nana」が一番好きだ。
（大学のAVルームにナナのTVショーを録画したらしいビデオがあった。それのしょっぱな、右に２歩左に２歩のステップを踏みながら登場したナナが歌いだしたのが「Unite」だったような記憶があり、いまだに「Unite」の前奏を聴くと、このステップをつい真似してることがある）
彼女の声は澄んだ綺麗な声なのだが、
その澄んだ綺麗な声の中に、なんというか、絹の繊維同士が擦れあうときのキシキシとした衣擦れの音みたいなトーンがほんの微かに混ざっている、ちょっと変わった声だ。
聴いていて、実に心地よい。
が、聴きながらふと思った。
ナナっていま何歳だろうと。
で、例によってWikiで検索してみたところ。
1934年10月13日生まれでした。
いま72歳で、今年の誕生日がきたら73歳です。
が、それよりもwikiの「ナナ・ムスクーリ」の項目に何がびっくりしたって。
ナナには声帯の膜が１枚しかないーーっっ！！！
（通常は左右２枚あるんだって。それが１枚しかないってことは、右か左かどっちか１枚しかなくて、その１枚で声帯全体を開閉してるってこと？）

タグを見て、ひっくり返りそうになる。
「エリナ」って。。。
かの、2006年世界バラ会議によってピエール・ド・ロンサールと共にバラの殿堂(Hall of Fame Roses)に選出された、バラかいな？
え?(@゜д゜@)? …そんなにビッグネームなバラだったっけ？ 驚いた記憶もあるけど、こりゃまたびっくり仰天だぁ～っ。
よもやタグのつけ間違い、あるいは同名異種じゃないだろうね。そんな一抹の不安を抱きつつ。。。
かのエリナとは違う品種でも、この花ならばチェックリストに入れておこうか。
花フェスタの画像を参照してみると、咲き進んだ姿が同じ感じ。(^-^)(｡｡)(^-^)(｡｡)ウンウン
やはり冷涼な環境で育成された品種だから、秋のほうが良花を得られるとの記述も見つけたが、季節によって花容の変化があるのか？
さて「エリナ」は世界的にはビッグネームなバラなのですね。(;^_^Aアセ
長く待ち望まれていた「ピース」に匹敵するバラ、そんな評もあるくらい。
耐暑性、耐寒性ともに強く、耐病性もあり、丈夫な性質で育てやすく、初心者向けの品種。
直立性の樹形は狭いスペースにも植裁可。花持ちも良い。
これって。。。非の打ち所がないってヤツ？ 殿堂入りも納得な次第。
こぼれ話。
ディクソン社は「ポードース(柔肌)」の名で発表、後に子供のオムツのトップブランド(!?)にちなんで命名。。。ヽ(｡_゜)ノ ヘッ? ここまでは知らなくても良かったような。(苦笑)

ユニセフ親善大使
黒柳徹子さんがユニセフ親善大使であることはよく知られていますが、他にどんな方たちがいて、どんな活動をしているのでしょうか。
ユニセフには現在6人の親善大使がいます。親善大使は、子どもの福祉や人道問題に関心を持つ著名人の中から、開発途上国の子どもたちの代弁者として、ユニセフ事務局長が任命する、年俸1ドルの大使です。

第1号は、アメリカのコメディアンであるダニー・ケイ。それ以来、彼も含めて8人が親善大使としてユニセフ支援のため、様々な活動をしてきました。
今回は、6月のサッカーワールドカップで来日したユニセフ親善大使ロジャー・ムーアの活動を紹介します。
1980年代初めに、ユニセフ米国国内委員会のためにラジオでユニセフカードの販売促進を支援したことから始まり、1991年には、ユニセフ映画芸術特別代表に任命されました。多くの開発途上国を訪問して、大統領や政府関係者と子どもの問題を討議しています。また、キワニス・インターナショナル（NGO）のヨウ素欠乏症追放キャンペーンの名誉会長としての活動を通して、ユニセフの支援も行っています。
来日した際には新聞・テレビの取材だけでなく、日本ユニセフ協会大使のアグネス・チャンと小学校を訪問したり、アフガン難民の子どもたちにサッカーボールを贈る運動に取り組む神戸の女子中学生たちと交流しました。
亡くなったダニー・ケイとオードリー・ヘップバーンを除く6人は、現在もそれぞれの立場で活動をしています。
しかし、ユニセフのスポークスパーソンは親善大使の方たちだけではありません。スポーツや芸術など各方面で活躍されている人たちが、特別代表という形でユニセフを支援しています。

久しぶりの、日本の記事のご紹介です♪
BIANCOさんのブログに、【ナナムスクーリのイギリス民謡集】が紹介されました♪
この中には、日本でもお馴染みのイギリス民謡が収録されていて、昨年も、ダニーボーイの、ナナの音源を訪ねてこられた方に、このCDをご紹介したいきさつがあります♪
MELI-MELO MELOMANE、音楽愛好家的日常の記事をご紹介させていただきます。
Nana Mouskouri: Songs of the British Isles (Philips 838 737-2)
このアルバムがＣＤ復刻されて現役であるというのは嬉しい。ＬＰでは1976年のリリースで日本盤もあり、発売当時、TBSの朝番組「おはよう700」（五木田武信と見城美枝子の司会）の海外レポートで紹介されたりしていた。
ある意味リトマス試験紙みたいなアルバムであり、純粋にフォークソングが好きな人が聴いたら、単にファミリー向けの綺麗なメロディ集だと切り捨てるかも知れない。発売当時、日比谷の図書館で借りてカセットに録音して何度も聴いていた私でも、今では、必ずしも没入して聴けるものでもない。しかし、ナナ・ムスクーリ、このギリシャ出身で、お国もののギリシャ歌謡はもちろん、シャンソンからラテン、そしてスタンダード・ナンバーまで歌いこなす不世出の歌手（ポピュラー音楽のマリア・カラスと呼ばれて・・・はいない）がイギリス民謡を歌った唯一のアルバムは、「ご当地ソング」を超えたユニバーサルな魅力を獲得していると言えないことも無い。
何と、このアルバムを出した1976年、ナナ・ムスクーリは他に11枚のオリジナル・アルバムをリリースしているのだ。月1枚である。ドイツ語やオランダ語による歌唱のアルバムもある。76年は彼女のレコーディングが最も多産な年だったようだ。
LPの資料が無いので不正確だが、曲順はCD化で変わったような気もする。He moved through the fair はあまたの歌手が歌っており、ナナの歌は優等生的に過ぎるとも感じられる。Danny Boyはこんなものか。O Waly Waly や Skye Boat Song あたりを、泥臭くなく聴かせるあたりが彼女の真骨頂か。一番好ましいのは、かわいらしい An English Country Garden である。パーシー・グレインジャーも室内楽用に編曲を残しているこの佳品が歌で聴けるのは楽しい。

Nana Mouskouri (1963) receives platinum Stimmgabel
The Greek singer Nana Mouskouri (1963) will receive a platinum Stimmgabel
that will be presented to her on 22 September 2007. Also singer, composer and conductor Rolf Zuckowski will be honoured with a platinum Stimmgabel. Rolf Zuckowski (1979 - 1981) was also conductor at the Eurovision Song Contest. Both are presented with this prestigious award for their long and prolific careers. "Die Goldene Stimmgabel" presented by Thomas Heck from Friedrich-Ebert-Halle in Ludwigshafen takes place for the 27th time. The second German net, ZDF will transmit this gala on 3rd October from 21.15.
Nana Mouskouri was born in Crete and started her career when she was 15
years old and in Athens. She is with some 250 million discs sold around the world, one of the all time most successful singers. With these sales figures she is in elite company alongside only Madonna and Mariah Carey. In the course of her career that has lasted dozens of years Nana has received more than 300 Gold, Platinum and Diamond discs. Nana Mouskouri is at this time on her large worldwide goodbye tour for her adoring fans. In Germany this tour has already ended where her largest hitwas "Weisse Rosen aus Athen". Nana Mouskouri is also active on the political scene just like her two other Eurovision colleagues Vicky Leandros (ESC 1967 - 1972) and Dana (ESC 1970)
The second platinum Stimmgabel is for Rolf Zuckowski who turned 60 earlier this year. He has been associated for years with high-quality children's entertainment. In 1982 thanks to an appearance with his project 'Rolf und seine Freunde' and the song '...und ganz doll mich" in the popular programme 'Wetten das .. ?' he was suddenly a household name in Germany as well and with this song he reached the number one position in the 'ZDF Hitparade'. Rolf Zuckowski was also conductor at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1979 and 1981, for the Swiss entries.
The Golden Stimmgabels also go to among other things: Andrea Mount, Semino
Rossi, Hansi Hinterseer, Silbermond, Roger Cicero (ESC 2007), PUR, LaFee, Die Höhner, Die Kastelruther Spatzen, Heinz Rudolf Kunze (German preselection 2007).

ナナ・ムスクーリがこの火事の被災者に対して、5万ユーロを寄付したそうです。

Nana Mouskouri, the Greek diva who represented Luxembourg in the 1963 Eurovision Song Contest and one of the most successful female singers worldwide, has offered 50.000 euros for the needs of the victims of the tragic fires that left Greece in mourning recently.
Nana Mouskouri, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadress, has offered 50.000 euros through the Nana Mouskouri - Focus on Hope Foundation. Furthermore, she will be offering all the proceeds from her concert in Geneva on 20th November as well as her fees for her concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London on 29th November.
Nana is still on her four-year World Fairwell tour that has taken her around the globe. After 45 years on stage, she has decided to say goodbye to singing by visiting the places where she performed throughout her career for one last time. Her next stops will be:

The Entertainment Artistes' Benevolent Fund presents a charity event in aid of
Brinsworth House.
An evening with Val Doonican and friends to celebrate his 60th year in show
business.
Amongst Val's special guests will be Frank Carson, Rolf Harris, NANA MOUSKOURI,
Bradley Walsh and John Williams. Plus other names to be announced.
Dancers from Laine Theatre Arts, choreographed by Gerry Zuccarello.
Artists subject to availability.

No imge,no song of Nana Mouskouri,but melody only From: ilovetrains63 My arrangement of the "White Rose Of ... My arrangement of the "White Rose Of Athens"...written by the Greek composer Manos Hadjidakis, and made famous by the Greek singer...Nana Mouskouri. In 1961, Mouskouri performed the soundtrack of a German documentary about Greece. This resulted in the German-language single "Weisse Rosen aus Athen" ("White Roses from Athens"). The song was originally adapted from a folk melody by Hadjidakis. It became an enormous hit, selling over a million copies in Germany. The song was later translated into several different languages and it went on to become one of Mouskouri's signature tunes. The pictures are of the state of Michigan...Battle Creek, (Home of Kellogg, Post, and Ralston cereal companies), Mount Clemens, (Home of The Lionel Toy Train Corporation, and an historic train depot where Thomas Edison learned to operate a telegraph machine, and worked as an employee of the railroad as a young man in the 1860's), and Detroit, (Home of General Motors Corporation).
