Nana Mouskouri vine în România la Gala UNICEF

Cântăreaţa Nana Mouskouri vine în Romania pentru a sprijini strângerea de fonduri pentru maternităţi, în cadrul Galei UNICEF organizată în 10 mai de către televiziunea naţională.
Fondurile vor fi utilizate pentru a oferi o şansă mai bună copiilor care se nasc în maternităţile din România, prin transformarea acestor spitale în Spital Prieten al Copilului.

"Datorită talentului ei de a vorbi (şi cânta) în engleză, franceză, germană, greacă, italiană şi spaniolă, Nana Mouskouri este purtătorul de cuvânt ideal pentru UNICEF, iar ea a profitat de orice ocazie pentru a promova drepturile copiilor, atât în timpul vizitelor sale în locaţii asistate de UNICEF, cât şi în timpul concertelor", precizează UNICEF.

Iniţiativa Spital Prieten al Copilului a fost lansată în 1991 de către UNICEF într-un efort de a transforma toate maternităţile în centre de sprijinire şi promovare a alăptării. Alăptarea aduce copiilor avantaje care nu pot fi reproduse de nicio altă modalitate de hrănire.

Nana Mouskouri s-a născut şi a crescut în Grecia şi a făcut studii de pian şi canto la Conservatorul din Atena. Ea este artista cu cele mai multe albume vândute din toate timpurile, primind mai mult de 300 de discuri de aur şi platină.
