In the same time, Louis Hazan introduced me to Michel Legrand.Some months later, in 1962, I went to New York to record "A girl from Greece sings" in Phil Ramone's studio with the help of Quincy Jones.

Back in Paris, I record "Les parapluies de Cherbourg" with Michel Legrand.I became quickly much more popular in Germany, France and other europeans countries, because of my records, my concerts ans TV shows.
パリに戻り、ミシェルルグランと「シェルブールの雨傘」を録音しました。その後すぐに、レコードや、コンサート、テレビのショーでドイツ、フランスや他のヨーロッパの国々にも知られるようになりました。

Luxemburg Radio asked me in 1963 to represent the country in the European Song Contest, with the song "A force de prier". The song did not win but became a hit in France, Belgium and Italy.
ラジオルクセンブルグが1963年に、ギリシャ代表としてヨーロッパソングコンテストに出演しないかと聞いてきました。 "A force de prier"です。この歌は入賞しませんでしたが、フランス、ベルギー、イタリアでヒットしました。

Two important events came in my life because of this Festival.First, Hary Belafonte remembered me when he saw me on TV.He came in Athens some years ago and heared me singing.I went in New York for the second tuime to do a casting for concerts with him.
このフェスティバルに出場したことで私の人生における二つの重要なであいがありました。
ハリー・ベラフォンテが、テレビで私を見て覚えていてくれました。彼は、何年か後にアテネに訪ねてきて、私の歌うのを聴きました。私は彼と共に二度目のニューヨークに行きをし、彼のコンサートで共演しました。
